"American History" experience with discrimination

Once I can remember being discriminated I was in junior high. These ignorent boys came up to me talking about "qe pasa" this and "qe onda" that , so I politley responded "No habla." They all broke out laughing and slapping their knees. They told me I wasn't a real mexican because I didn't speak spanish. Ever since then they never spoke to me just gave me dirty looks and made fun of me. They made me feel really stupid but I've never let anyone make me feel that way because of not knowing spanish since then.
